Founded in 2006 by Elizabeth Markevitch, ikono.tv is a global media platform that displays and broadcasts visual arts and video art, ranging from old masters to contemporary artists. The goal of ikonoTV is to make art more accessible, with the aim of creating a commentary-free art experience that allows people to have an emotional response to the artwork.
About the project
Objective
As a video editor at ikono, I contributed to the daily production of the broadcasting schedule, working closely with artists, curators, designers, camera operators, and programmers.
My focus was on transforming artworks spanning from ancient to contemporary periods into compelling visual narratives for broadcast. This required shaping storytelling and rhythm around highly diverse visual languages, while continuously refining my editing approach and experimenting with new techniques to enhance the viewer’s experience.
